It’s back. Another season brings yet more outstanding coverage of the collegiate game to our screens, courtesy of BT Sport/ESPN, the excitement and drama beginning this weekend. With no less than six live college football games this coming weekend, the new season also brings ‘MACtion’ every Tuesday night, with the Mid-American Conference getting its own dedicated evening, a conference famous for its offensive prowess and future NFL stars.

While we were all treated to an early, teaser of college football action last weekend with the Stanford v Rice opener from Sydney, akin a child sneaking a peek at their Christmas presents, it all starts again in the FBS (FCS ‘Week Zero’ started with a limited schedule on Saturday too) on Thursday night with a key Big-Ten matchup from Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.

Are you ready for the drama, excitement, upsets, thrills, disappointments, let downs, colour and tradition of college football? It really is almost here.
